Brent Salter, CPG, is a native of Greater San Antonio. Having completed undergrad at Baylor University, a Fulbright Scholarship to Eastern Europe, and a master’s at London School of Economics, Brent returned home determined to make San Antonio its best. His education and career are anchored in nonprofit financial work and philanthropy. Brent currently serves as VP of Programs for a San Antonio-based charitable foundation that annually awards $9 million in grants to area nonprofits.

Always a lover of a good story and hospitality, Brent launched Amigo Walking Tours in 2018, introducing the “Tip-What-You-Want” European model of tours to San Antonio. Dedicated to the welfare of all who are in San Antonio – visitors and locals alike – the company often partners with charitable causes to raise financial support and public awareness. Amigo’s 2024 tour of Tower Life Building welcomed more than 2,000 guests and generated a substantial charitable donation to a local nonprofit. Now one of the highest ranked tour providers in the competitive San Antonio market, Amigo has been featured in the San Antonio Express-News, Texas Highways Magazine, and Texas Public Radio.

Brent’s contributions to broader tourism include serving as a Commissioner on the San Antonio Airport Advisory Commission (2021-2022), Treasurer for the Professional Tour Guide Association of San Antonio (2023-2024), and Treasurer for the National Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (2025-2026).
